To get to many of our destinations, my Dad and I had to drive up the Sea-to-Sky Highway frequently. On this particular day we were driving up North to Squamish and the view of Howe Sound from the car was beautiful. We decided to stop at a lookout point on the way back home.
Â
There were some stands describing the history of the First Nation people in the area, since this land was on traditional Coast Salish territory. There was also a lovely totem pole standing out by the lookout.Â

While the lookout was nice, it just didn’t compare to the experience of driving alongside the mountains and water. After being cooped up in the city for so long, it was very refreshing to be on a road that’s surrounded by nature.

I just write the same comment all the time, but damn, this is so amazing!!! how can I say something else when you publish such beautiful pics of such beautiful places? 😛
I think I should move to British Colombia too 😉
I too love the totem pole. Every time I look at your pictures I am amazed at how you and I live in such different landscapes and climates. I love looking at your images, because your landscapes are so foreign to me. Maybe one day I shall visit them. I crave open spaces and nature and you seem to have tons of that. Beautiful scenery.
I would love to drive on that road, it looks so lovely!
I'd totally break the rules too haha, hopefully my dad would be as chilled about it as yours!
I love Dad's reaction to you being a trouble maker. He's so passive about it. And the totem pole is really nice. I love it!
